Spring Break!

What an amazing place! We had such a great time with friends at Casa Moonshine! We have stayed in Zacatitos before and Casa Moonshine has been our favorite! The outdoor living areas were great for family dinners and lounging in the hammocks in the afternoon. We visited the local farmers market and used the grill to prepare fresh fish and veggies. Morning walks to Punta Gorda and evening strolls on the beach to watch the sunset, it really is stunning all around!

Family Fun in the Sun

Casa Moonshine truly deserves five stars. The casitas are amazing, modern, thoughtfully laid out, and, most importantly the pool is the right temperature. The beds were comfortable and made a huge difference in our stay and ensured we were well rested every night. If I had to suggest anything for improvement, a microwave might be a helpful addition though not essential, and a plug-in air pump for pool floaties would be a nice touch for guests looking to fully enjoy the pool. That said, everything else about this place is outstanding. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and even allowed us to check in a little early, which we really appreciated after traveling. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would absolutely stay here again and again.

Wow! Where to begin?

If you are looking for natural beauty, quiet, comfort, and peaceful surroundings, Casa Moonshine cannot be beat. A short walk to a stunning, uncrowded beach, and local eateries like Coco Loco for breakfast, and Zac’s for dinner. Try Flora Farms for a special night out, DIP Expeditions for a 4 hr boat/snorkeling tour (breaching whales, eagle rays, turtles, seals. Sunrise, sunset, and the night sky will captivate you. We were 2 couples and a single, rented all 3 casitas, and were very comfortable. Can’t wait to return!

Third Time’s a Charm (and Then Some)

This past week was my 3rd stay at Casa Moonshine and somehow it just keeps getting better. My friends and I spent the week surfing empty point breaks, soaking in the raw beauty of the East Cape, and fully immersing ourselves in the laid-back rhythm of Baja life. The house is everything you want in a getaway—comfortable, private, and thoughtfully designed to blend into its modern desert-meets-ocean surroundings. Waking up to sunrise over the Sea of Cortez, sipping coffee with nothing but the sounds of birds and nature and the sea breeze, is something I’ll never get tired of. The kitchen is perfect for cooking up fresh local finds, and the open layout makes it easy to flow from morning surf checks to poolside siestas to sunset dinners or margarita under the stars. If you're looking for an authentic, off-the-grid escape with easy access to surf, nature, and good vibes—Casa Moonshine is it. 5 STARS and then some. We'll be back (again). Thank you.

Absolutely Magical – Can’t Wait to Return for a 3rd Time!

This was my second stay at Casa Moonshine, and it was just as incredible as the first! The property is beautifully designed with three modern, minimalist casitas, a refreshing pool, and a huge palapa that’s perfect for relaxing and for gatherings. It’s completely off the grid, which adds to the peaceful, secluded feel, yet it’s just a five-minute walk to stunning, quiet beaches. My first visit was a girls’ trip, and this time was a couples’ golf getaway—both were amazing in different ways. Whether you want to explore or simply unwind, Casa Moonshine offers the best of both worlds. Five nights wasn’t nearly enough, and we weren’t ready to leave! Next trip back will be with the kids, and I know they’ll love it just as much as we do. If you're looking for a stylish, serene, and truly special place in the East Cape, this is it!

Relaxed and Unwind

Such an amazing place! We booked the entire place and came with a group of friends. It was just what we all needed after a busy year. Quiet, relaxing and just perfect. The weather was amazing, we would walk down to the beach everyday and just chill. Bonus we saw whales! (bring your binoculars during this season) Water temps were great for some swimming and snorkeling. The house was a treat. Definitely looking forward to our next rip back.

Perfect Little Oasis

Casa Moonshine was the perfect place for 3 couples and a single friend to stay over a friends wedding weekend. Perfect little oasis - off the beaten path but had all the modern utilities. Raul the driver they recommended was available even day of for last minute trips. Thank you Susan for letting us stay at your place.

Incredibly Amazing (Highly Recommend)

To say I loved every minute of our trip to Casa Moonshine is an understatement! The ambiance of this place is so cool and chill! So much thought was put into the Casitas, the Palapa, the pool and even the landscaping was so amazing! The Owners are so great to work with and put my mind at ease with all my many questions and worries I had about the whole trip. They are so happy to help and are very knowledgeable about all the great things to do in the area. I loved the fact that it's off grid and away from but still close enough to town where you can pick up groceries and souvenirs and the such. It was nice to barbecue and spend time eating and enjoying family time under the Palapa which was a dream. The beach was so close and we didn't even need to go anywhere else to snorkel for fish, whales etc...We were happy to just BE! The kids had the best time as well. Can't wait to go back!!!

Serene and rejuvenating

Wow, this place is incredible! Peaceful and beautiful! The huge Cardon cacti are majestic, you can feel their peaceful energy. The Casitas are comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed making dinner and hanging out under the large Palapa. The pool is refreshing and calming. It is away from the chaos of a busy town, but close enough to get what we needed from the store. Also close to lots of fun places to check out. Beautiful beach a short walk away. We watched TONS of mama and baby whales breaching. Snorkeling was awesome during our stay with lots of different sealife. The wild burros that live in the area are fun to see. A lot of thought has gone into every detail of this beautiful place. It was fun and rejuvenating! So many cool experiences all around. It was a perfect get away for our family! We loved it and can't wait to go back!
